India will host the ODI Cricket World Cup from October 5 to November 19.
India will open their World Cup campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
Defending champions England will play last edition finalists New Zealand in the opening match on October 5 in Ahmedabad.
With Guwahati among the 12 venues, this will be the first time that the World Cup will be staged in northeast India.
The tournament will have 10 teams. Each team will play the other 9 in a Round-Robin format. Top 4 teams will go through to the semi-finals.
India have never lost to Pakistan in the ODI World Cup.
