Odisha Police has conducted the Constable (Communication) Computer Based Examination 2021. The examination is held successfully from November 15 to 20, 2021 at the designated centres in Odisha. As the examination is over, the Odisha Police is expected to display the official answer key on its site odishapolice.gov.in shortly. Candidates who appeared in the examination, now can check and download the answer key and raise objections, if any.

According to the feedback from the candidates, the Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) for the post of Constable (Communication) consisted of 100 questions divided into two parts – Part A (Comprising of questions in Odia Language, English Language, Arithmetic, Aptitude Test and Logical Reasoning, etc) and Part B (Comprising of questions to test the knowledge in Physics and Computer Science of +2 standard). The asked questions were objective type and MCQs. The overall difficulty level of the November 19, 2021, held examination was reportedly moderate.

The tentative answer key will be displayed on the link odishapolice.azurewebsites.net. Applicants may go through the answer keys and submit representation, if any, within 3 days of uploading the answer keys, on payment of Rs.1000 per question. Any representation regarding the answer key received within the time limits fixed by the board will be scrutinised before finalising the answer keys, and the decision of the Board in this regard will be Final. If any representation is found valid, the paid amount shall be refunded to the applicant.

According to the examination scheme, each correct answer carries 1 mark while a negative marking at 0.25 marks for each wrong/ answer is also applicable. Whereas, no mark is awarded if any question is left unattended.

As the CBRE is held in multiple shifts on a number of days, normalisation will be done to adjust the difficulty level across different shifts of the examination. Candidates, 3 times the number of vacancies, based on their performance in the CBRE, will be called to appear for the physical standards and measurement and only those qualifying in the same shall be allowed to participate in the physical efficiency test (PET).

The recruitment drive is to fill a total of 244 posts of Constable (Communication) of Odisha Police Signals Service under Home Department, Govt. of Odisha.
