Ola’s MoveOS 3 to roll out for all its scooters from next week: Key features
The MoveOS 3 software update will be released for Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters next week, CEO and co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced on Twitter on Thursday.

MoveOS 3 is Ola’s third major over-the-air upgrade for its e-scooter series. Currently, only the Ola S1 Air has MoveOS 3. The software was announced by Ola in Diwali.

“MoveOS 3 rolling out to everyone next week! Major features and big performance improvements. Hope you all enjoy it”, Aggarwal tweeted.

The MoveOS 3 comes with features like fast charging, hill assist, etc, among others.
The upgrade, as per company statements, enables features such as proximity unlock, party mode, moods, and improved interoperability with the Hypercharger network.

Hypercharging is one of the major features in the latest update. This feature enables up to 50 km driving with just 15 minutes of charging.

According to Ola, Hypercharger can extend the scooter’s range by 3 kilometers with just a minute of charging.

The upgrade will equip the Ola S1 lineup with proximity unlock feature. With this, users can unlock their scooter without keys. The company calls this feature ‘6th sense’. It is said to enable users to lock and unlock the scooter with their walk.

The Ola S1 Air is automatically unlocked when it detects the owner near it, Ola claims. And it gets locked on its own when it detects the owner walking away.

The Party mode feature brings the scooter’s headlight in sync with whatever song the rider is listening to. The proprietary app gives the rider this control.

With MoveOS 3, the rider also gets the call screen on the scooter dashboard. It lets the rider know who’s calling by just looking at the dashboard.
