The Don’t Worry Darling director has seemingly responded to an ex-nanny’s claims in a recent interview that detailed a fight between Wilde and ex Jason Sudeikis after she attempted to leave with a salad and her “special dressing” to see now-boyfriend Harry Styles.

Sharing a page from Nora Ephron’s Heartburn, which was inspired by the author’s divorce from Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein, Wilde, 38, posted the recipe for the dressing at the centre of the drama.

“Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar,” it reads. “Then, whisk constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive.”

The nanny for the former couple’s two children, daughter Daisy, 6, and son Otis, 8, claimed that Sudeikis, 47, was left “brokenhearted” when he caught the House alum making the dressing and trying to leave to see Styles.

His suspicions that she was having an affair with Styles were allegedly confirmed after he discovered texts on Wilde’s Apple Watch.

“The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house,” the former nanny, who wouldn’t reveal her identity, said in an interview with the Daily Mail published earlier this week.

The nanny detailed Sudeikis’ alleged breakdown, which saw the Ted Lasso star so desperate to prevent Wilde from leaving to see Styles, 28, that he lay down in front of her car.

“She got in her car to back up, he lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave,” she said. “He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry. Jason told me: ‘She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she’s leaving with her salad to have dinner with (Harry).’”

According to the nanny, the Emmy-award winning actor desperately tried to make things work, but she had already moved on with the former One Direction singer.

“She had no intention of repairing things with him,” the nanny said.

Both Wilde and Sudeikis denied the nanny’s account, calling her accusations “false and scurrilous.”

“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” the former couple said in a statement. “Her now 18 month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.”

After the babysitter’s revelation, Internet sleuths were in a race to uncover the recipe that had the As it Was singer’s mouth watering.

“I need Olivia Wilde to drop her salad dressing recipe that bagged Harry and had Ted Lasso throwing himself under her car,” one person begged with another adding, “If somebody doesn’t give me an ingredient list for the adulterous ‘special salad dressing,’ I will simply die.”

But it wasn’t long before web detectives zeroed in on a roasted salmon salad with zucchini and potatoes meal Wilde shared during an appearance on Questlove’s Potluck on the Food Network in 2020.

For the vinaigrette that accompanied the meal, Wilde mixed red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt and garlic in a small bowl, adding olive oil and stirring until the dressing was emulsified.

Wilde’s post is just the latest development in a series of scandals that have emerged after her thriller Don’t Worry Darling hit theatres last month. Rumours swirled that she was feuding with the film’s leading lady Florence Pugh, while Styles was accused of spitting on their co-star Chris Pine at the Venice Film Festival.

The director was also served with custody papers at CinemaCon and also became embroiled in a war of words with the movie’s original star Shia LaBeouf, who dismissed Wilde’s claims that he was fired from the film.

After she was honoured as one of Elle’s Women in Hollywood on Monday night, Wilde spoke out as the salad dressing drama spread online, urging women to “keep fighting through the hellfire” to battle misogyny in the entertainment business.

“I am gobsmacked by this moment. I’m deeply grateful for the support that it represents,” Wilde said per Variety. “These opportunities like tonight to gather as women are crucial. They’re extremely impactful. They offer us the opportunity to look into each other’s eyes and say ‘Keep going,’ because let’s face it, it’s not always easy to keep going. In fact, sometimes it’s tempting to excuse ourselves from the burning hellfire of misogyny that defines this business and say, ‘Good night. Good luck. I’d rather eat glass.’ But we won’t let each other give up.”
