Manchester United will be looking to get the derby day humiliation out of their system when they face Cypriot side Omonoia in their third Europa League group stage game tonight.

Erik ten Hag’s men were humbled 6-3 at the hands of their noisy neighbours Manchester City at the weekend to put a dramatic halt on their strong run of form.

United have picked up three points from their first two group stage games, courtesy of a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad at Old Trafford followed by a 2-0 away win in Moldova against FC Sheriff.

Meanwhile, Omonoia have yet to register a point from their opening two fixtures under the management of former Celtic and Bolton manager Neil Lennon.

Here is your brief ahead of tonight’s fixture in the Cypriot capital.

What time does Omonoia vs Manchester United start?

Manchester United’s Group E clash with Omonia will take place today (October 6) at 5.45pm.

The match will be held at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

What is the Manchester United team news?

Rapahel Varane is not part of the 22-man travelling party making the trip to Cyprus after picking up an injury during the Manchester derby, but the French defender is not expected to be out for long.

Harry Maguire is still recovering from the hamstring strain picked up on Nations League duty with England, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed training on Wednesday morning and has stayed behind in England.

Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are the only centre backs amongst the group and look set to start in Nicosia.

Youngsters Zidane Iqbal, Facundo Pellistri and Alejandro Garnacho have joined the squad on the plane despite playing for the U21 team on Tuesday.
