Only Doja Cat Would Wear False Eyelashes As Facial Hair

Doja Cat refuses to remove the foot she’s had firmly planted on our necks during the spring 2023 Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, which started on January 23. Even if you aren’t dutifully following what’s happening on the runways, there’s a good chance you probably have seen pictures of the rapper covered in red crystals from head-to-toe for the Schiaparelli show, which was just as visually stimulating. Last year during Paris Fashion Week, Doja Cat pushed the boundaries of fashion and beauty with several experimental looks, including one that involved covering her face in gold paint and other that involved wearing white webbed makeup over her entire face and head.

So I should not have been shocked that the moment I most recently opened my Instagram app, I was met with a picture of Doja Cat looking like what can only be described as a French villain. Wait, let me explain with photo evidence, of course. The singer-rapper arrived at the Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 on January 25 in a striped brown two-piece suit with her buzz cut on display and the most minimal of makeup — except for the expertly placed falsies on her face to mimic eyebrows and facial hair.

A wispy false lash was turned upside down and adhered on either side of her face where her eyebrows would be, giving the appearance of bushy brows that were brushed upwards. Two more falsies, which looked like they were trimmed to a smaller size, were placed right above her lips for a wispy mustache that covered a bit of her upper lip. A smaller piece of a false lash was glued right onto her chin area for a little soul patch moment.
