Patrick Murray, who portrayed Mickey Pearce in Only Fools and Horses, says he would love to film a revival of the BBC show, but fears it would be “constrained” by “woke” culture. The 65-year-old actor has followed David Jason’s lead in admitting he would consider starring in a reboot of the sitcom. However, the star has confessed he’s worried viewers would now find the word “plonker” offensive.
David, who played Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses, and Patrick have both opened up about being involved in a revival of the show which made them household names.
However, Patrick believes the characters wouldn’t be able to poke fun at each other in fear of upsetting modern-day viewers.
He also admitted he would be worried the BBC could “ruin” the programme by being too cautious.

He explained: “I’ve always loved Del Boy, who is such a wonderful loser.
“I would love to revisit him, I need someone to write me a script.”
Nicholas Lyndhurst, 60, who played the foolish yet loveable Rodney Trotter, also dismissed claims he was giving up on acting following the tragic death of his son Archie.
Archie died following a brain tumour at 19 years old in 2020 and Nicholas has been keeping out of the spotlight ever since.
But the actor’s representatives have said Nicholas “will continue his career”.
Earlier this week, Patrick revealed to his social media followers he had been diagnosed with cancer.
He tweeted: “Naturally I wanted to keep my own health problems private, but failing to fully endorse this ad would be selfish.
“Thanks to my ultra scan I have a fighting chance.
“It showed my organs needed further investigation and tumours were spotted. This led to a PET scan which covers a much larger area.”
