Orlando Pirates seem to have an injury curse! Jose Riveiro will have to dig deep into his squad to find replacements as SIX players are sidelined. Here’s the full list.

Riveiro and Pirates are currently in the middle of an injury crisis.
Vincent Pule is now the SIXTH player to be sidelined after picking up an injury against Maritzburg United over the weekend.

Pule, Thembinkosi Lorch, Deon Hotto, Thabiso Monyane, Terrence Dzvukamanja and new signing Evidence Makgopa are currently all sidelined with injuries.
For Riveiro and the Bucs, the timing of all these injuries has really let them down. It comes at a time where Pirates were doing so well, they sat at the top of the DStv Premiership before a shock loss to Maritzburg United saw them drop to fourth.

Now, they will have to bounce back to winning ways without a host of top players.
Hotto, Makgopa and Lorch are crucial to their attack. An area that has really let down the Soweto giants recently with plenty of chances going to waste.

Pule has an outside chance of playing on Saturday but it does not look good. He is set to go for scans soon to reveal the extent of his injury.
“I’m still going to do some scans, we’ll see,” Pule stated on SoccerLaduma.
