During a recent episode, Amanda held a frog from the lake for her daughter to see.

“Ahh, that was so cute!” Amanda said.

In jest, the writer amusingly pointed out: “Well, nothing has happened.”

Earlier this year, their eldest son Reuben had to take a step back from his duties on the farm as he started on the path of his new career.

The 18-year-old still lives at home on the farm but is a mechanical engineering apprentice at a heavy plant company where he works five days a week – and Amanda reflected on her clan leaving their home following the sweet interaction with Nancy.

Speaking about her youngest daughter, Amanda told Channel 5 viewers: “Nancy has definitely found her own little voice.”

She said: “But it will be nice for her to go to school and you know, learn about the big wide world.

“So, she has another six months [left],” the TV writer revealed.

Before she added: “And the six months have been on her own as the only child left at home.”

The 47-year-old mother confessed: “That will do her good, you know, she’s learning.

“She has found her own independent character.” Amanda concluded to viewers at home.

Nancy, impressed by the animals found in the lake, revealed: “We found two froglets and we found some tadpoles.”

Before she added: “That’s why we’re looking for tadpoles and froglets.”
