Our Yorkshire Farm: Emotional moment Nancy heads to school

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen sparked concern on social media after sharing with fans that her youngest child Nancy had suffered an accident on Christmas Day.

The 47-year-old has been posting updates of her family’s activities during the festive period, including documenting what some of her children got up to yesterday on Twitter.

The shepherdess – who appears with husband Clive Owen, 67, and their children in the Channel 5 series – told fans that five-year-old daughter Nancy Owen had an accident.

Whilst listing the various situations that several of her nine children had got into on their farm over the course of Christmas Day, she wrote: “Nancy’s swallowed a biro.”

She however assured fans that her youngest child was “fine” despite the incident, though said Nancy was “spitting ink.”

The post on social media saw Amanda also discuss what else had happened on Ravenseats Farm in Yorkshire – where she lives with her husband and their children.

Their nine children are understood to include Raven, 20, Reuben, 18, Miles, 15, Edith, 13, Violet, 11, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmy, six, and youngest child Nancy, who is five.

Amanda wrote yesterday: “The usual. Skidster won’t start. Reubs dismantling carburettor in kitchen. Sid abandoned on loft as he knocked ladder away with straw bale.”

She continued in the recent post: “Clem, Annas and Tony are sharing mineral lick (for Tony) in living room and Nancy’s swallowed a biro. She’s fine, just spitting ink.”

The author – whose latest book, Celebrating The Seasons, was released this year – shared the update alongside a series of photos that showed her children on their snow-covered farm.

Responding to the post, some fans expressed concern for Nancy, whilst others noted that it had been an eventful day.

One follower wrote: “A biro? That’s scary! Did she bite it or something? Hopefully she’s still okay, bless her.” Whilst another said: “I hope Nancy is alright. Sounds eventful but fun.”

“Yikes, lots going on there,” commented another fan, whilst a fourth commented: “Hope you and Clive are sitting down to a well deserved enjoyable glass of wine or two.”
