Clive told Edith she’d soon be getting her very own puppy to look after and train, which Edith was very excited about as she was being trusted with responsibility.
As Clive talked his daughter through what would be expected of her, he suggested she could have a future career working with sheepdogs.
He said: “You never know where you might end up – a famous sheepdog trainer. Who knows? You don’t know.”
Clive and Amanda’s youngest daughter Nancy asked her father if the new dog will be Edith’s forever, to which he replied: “Of course, it will, of course, it will. And you’ll be mine forever!”.
“It’s just the same as little girls and puppies, the same. Once you get one, you’re stuck with them,” he said, causing his daughters to burst out laughing.
