Ousmane Dembele will not leave Barcelona on transfer deadline day despite interest from Chelsea.

The Catalan giants have ordered Dembele to find a new club this month after he turned down their offer of a new contract.

With just six months left on his contract at the Camp Nou, Barcelona have sought to cash in while they still can with reports in Spain claiming Chelsea have made an eleventh hour bid to bring him to the Premier League.

Spanish newspaper ABC claimed earlier today talks were ’99 per cent done’. Barcelona president Joan Laporta also appeared to confirm a bid from an unnamed English side.

But according to RMC Sport, Dembele will not be leaving Barcelona tonight. The France international will instead run down his contract at the Camp Nou before leaving on a free transfer this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs interested in signing the former Borussia Dortmund star when his contract expires.

Barcelona meanwhile have agreed a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan from Arsenal.

The Gabon international is set to join Xavi’s side on an initial six-month loan deal with the option to extend that by a year.

His medical will take place tonight.
