Thomas Tuchel slams Chelsea schedule

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele’s agent is said to be in London with the Frenchman linked with signing for Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Dembele’s contract is up at the end of the season but financially-stricken Barcelona are keen to get his substantial wages off the books this month and pocket some sort of fee for the player rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

And talks about a potential move to Stamford Bridge could be on with reports suggesting his representatives have travelled to the English capital ahead of the January transfer window closing next week.

It comes as Thomas Tuchel’s side reportedly prepares to make an offer to 15-year-old Brazilian sensation Endrick.

The Palmeiras youngest has been watched by scouts from across the world and Chelsea are said to be keen to secure his signature…. along with a host of Europe’s big hitters.

Meanwhile, captain Cesar Azpilicueta could be set to seal an emotional move away from the club.

Barcelona “close” on Azpilicueta deal

Barcelona are said to be “close” to agreeing a contract with Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Spanish defender is out of contract at the end of the season with Barca hoping to bring him in as a free signing.

And according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the LaLiga giants are set to agree a three-year deal with Azpilicueta.

The report adds that Barca boss Xavi has “given the green light” for the signing, who will be “one of FC Barcelona’s star signings for the 2022/2023 season”.

Endrick bid prepared

Chelsea have “a very good chance” of signing 15-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, it has been claimed.

The youngster has shot to fame in recent weeks following some stunning goals for his club Palmeiras.

And Sky Sports reports that Chelsea, alongside Premier League rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, will try to sign the forward when he turns 16 in July.

It is claimed Chelsea and Man City have the best chance of securing a move for the forward.

The report adds Endrick, who won’t be able to leave his native Brazil until he turns 18, is valued at around £33.5m by his club.

Dembele’s agent “in London”

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele’s agent is in London, fuelling speculation over a move to Chelsea according to reports.

Football.London reports Chelsea are monitoring Ousmane Dembele’s situation at Barcelona ahead of a potential move.

The Frenchman appears set to leave the Spanish club before the January transfer window slams shut next week, with Barcelona desperate to cash in now rather than lose him on a free at the end of the season.

The report adds that, according to the chief editor of the Barca Times, Shay Lugassi, Dembele’s agent is now in London to hold a “crucial meeting”.
