ABU DHABI, 14th July, 2022 (WAM) — The United States will host the 2022 World Athletics Championships (WCH Oregon22) for the first time tomorrow.
WCH Oregon22 is scheduled to be held from 15th to 24th July, 2022, in Eugene, Oregon, United States, and will bring together the world’s best track and field athletes
in a celebration of diversity, human potential, and athletic achievement.
The 10-day grand sporting event will host 2,000 athletes representing more than 200 nations, who will aim to give their best performance across 49 track and field disciplines and realise their lifelong dream.
Organisers said the World Athletics Championships have showcased the greatest athletes on Earth since 1983. When the event comes to Oregon, it will mark the first time the U.S. hosts the most prestigious event in the world of sports.
Legends will be born as 2,000 athletes compete to make a reality of their lifelong dreams of running, jumping, or throwing for glory.
