After the success of season one, Jaideep Ahlawat starrer Paatal Lok is all set for season 2. Earlier last year, Amazon Prime Video announced the second season of Paatal Lok through their slate reveal. Now the latest update on that front is that the leading actor Jaideep had already begun its shoot and has even wrapped up the schedule in Delhi recently.
Paatal Lok 2: Jaideep Ahlawat has wrapped up the second season in Delhi
Reviving the much-loved and appreciated character of Hathiram Choudhary in the second season of Paatal Lok, Jaideep had kicked off the shooting for the show last year and has now completed his work in the Delhi schedule. A source close to the development confirmed the details adding, “Yes, Jaideep had been shooting for Paatal Lok soon after the release of An Action Hero (2022). Recently he wrapped a month-long schedule in Noida, Delhi.”
For the unversed, Pataal Lok that is inspired by the traditional concepts of Heaven, Earth, and Hell, is an investigative drama that revolves around cop Hathiram Choudhary and the path he takes to expose the brutal world of underworld. Set against the backdrop of Delhi, the show also features Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Banerjee, among others. The series will air on Amazon Prime Video.
Besides this, Jaideep Ahlawat will also be seen in a pivotal role in the OTT debut release of Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film will be an adaptation of the popular Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X and the suspense-thriller, which also features Vijay Varma, is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is slated to release on Netflix somewhere this year.
