We booked a meal at Pachamama for the all GLAMOUR’s team, taking over almost the whole restaurant. We couldn’t fault how accommodating all the staff were. With a mixture of vegan’s, pescatarians and some with allergies amongst the group, the restaurant was meticulous on reassuring and altering dishes to fit everyone. We opted for the tasting menu options, which actually are incredibly reasonable for how much food you receive. To be shared between two at £65 (£32.50 per person!) I would absolutely recommend dining this way if you want to experience an eclectic mix of all the flavours Pachamama has to offer.
The standard sharing menu offers options such as ‘beef short rib croquettes with rocoto aioli’ as well as ‘sea bass ceviche with sweet potato crisps and classic tiger’s milk’. My favourite dish however, was the ‘Yellowfin Tuna with puffed rice, cumberer and XO tiger’s milk’, so if you’re a fan of raw fish, consider this your sign to order and indulge on how delicious this dish is.
For all the vegans and vegetarians out there Pachamama also offers sharing menus in both preferences, which I think really elicits just how much they care about the customer experience here. With complementing dishes, to naming only a few the ‘aubergine, ají huacatay, coconut yoghurt and pecans’ and the ‘Mushroom Mapo Tofu with doubanjiang and rice wine’ dishes were definitely amongst my favourite, perhaps even topping any of the meat and fish dishes in terms of taste.
As a team we couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. So you heard it from us, run, don’t walk to this one.
