Dunne was targeted by writer Kurt Steeter who moaned that the new flow of NIL (name, image, likeness) money to female college athletes “rewards traditional feminine desirability over athletic excellence.”

The athletes, however, claim they need the dough from influencing and making bank on their looks to pay for their schooling.

Spiranac, who has exploited her looks and image for an enviable career, agrees with the Dunne and other athletes and slammed the woker-than-thou Times of missing the point.

Spiranac tweeted: “I’m so sick of women belittling accomplishments of other women because it’s done differently than they would. @livvydunne is getting hate for making 2 million a year. She’s built a successful business [at 20] all while being a student-athlete. That’s badass.”

The 29-year-old golf podcaster knows of what she speaks. She played collegiate golf at the University of Arizona and San Diego State and is a former pro. She was also named the World’s Sexiest Woman by Maxim.

According to the New York Post, Dunne has racked up more than $2 million in endorsement dough.

Streeter of the Times was having none of it and sniffed that Stanford University women’s hoops coach Tara VanDerveer also was aghast at events unfolding in 2022.

VanDerveer told Streeter: “I guess sometimes we have this swinging pendulum, where we maybe take two steps forward, and then we take a step back. We’re fighting for all the opportunities to compete, to play, to have resources, to have facilities, to have coaches, and all the things that go with Olympic-calibre athletics.”

She added: “This is a step back.”

Dunne cheekily responded to the Gray Lady’s prudish hand-wringing.

On Instagram, she posted a snapshot and tagged the Times, asking:  “Is this too much?”
