Pakistan writer Fatima Bhutto says no one cares about your Wordle score. Twitter has a response

Wordle has captivated netizens from every corner of the world by now. It has become kind of like a necessity for many, especially those who have an indescribable love for crossword puzzles and scrabble. It is quite a task to guess the correct word of the day in just six tries and people tend to show off their results on social media. However, one Pakistani author has shared her annoyance with that.

Fatima Bhutto took to Twitter to share her views about the viral word game. “No one – I promise you: no one – cares about your Wordle score,” she tweeted.

She also clarified that the game was quite enjoyable but the part that is problematic is the social media sharing.

“I love Wordle but what is this insufferable world of oversharing we have created! What’s next? How many glasses of water you drink a day? How many of your 5 a day you ate? Steps walked? Blood pressure readings?” she added.

Take a look:

The tweet gathered much traction and netizens didn’t hold back while declaring their love for the game. While many pointed out that it was not that grave of a matter, some agreed with Fatima.

Jemima Goldsmith, British screenwriter and Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s former wife, also expressed her views regarding the matter.

The interesting game of Wordle requires the player to guess a five-letter word in six tries. There is only one Wordle per day. The rules are simple. If the player gets the letter that was a part of the word, then the tile turns yellow. If the player, however, guesses a letter that is in the word and the position is correct as well, the tile turns green. If the player guesses anything else, the tile turns grey.
