The Castilla y León Adapted Swimming League will celebrate its final day this Saturday, February 18. The competition, as is traditional, will close the curtain at the CTD Río Esgueva pool in Valladolid with the swimmers who qualified after the regular phase.

Almost eighty athletes have qualified for the competition of the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl) in the two previous days, among which stand out the Paralympics Marta Fernández and Luis Huerta, current League champions.

The two young swimmers have been the best in the previous phase, with the highest score in the women’s and men’s draws, and they are once again aiming for victory in a final that will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will last until 6:15 p.m. hours.

Along with the two swimmers from CD Fusion, Elsa Cuadrado from Medina or the former Paralympian from Valladolid Geles Lebrato, both also from the lynx club, also stand out.

In the men’s draw, the same thing happens with Unai Hontiyuelo or Jesús Catalina from Valladolid; or Marcos Pérez from Palencia, who was also one of the swimmers in the last AXA Spanish Swimming Championship for Paralympic promises.

CD Fusion starts with the favorite band to win the team title, with the Burgos clubs always on the lookout.

The VIII Adapted Swimming League of Castilla y León is one of the most established competitions on the calendar and is part of the promotion of adapted and Paralympic swimming carried out by Fedeacyl and which this 2023 will allow the Castilla y León International Open, which is held in May in Valladolid, closes the new AXA Paralympic Swimming League, which brings together the best swimmers in the country, in charge of giving the main medals to Spain in the Paralympic Games.
