Parents shocked over ‘sexualized’ Teletubbies footage: ‘What did I just watch’

Firstly, we don’t need to tell you that Teletubbies is a weird AF cartoon most of us grew up with. Some of us still have ongoing trauma over that strange world we were sucked into. 

Well, things just got a whole lot weirder thanks to a parent who has shared a scene from the kids’ program that is all sorts of wrong. 

“What did I just watch?”

TikToker @his_beautiful_surrender recently took to the video platform to highlight a scene from the quirky show that left her gobsmacked. 

“My toddler was watching Teletubbies and this happened,” she captioned the footage. “What did I just watch,” she added. 

The video shows the three bright ‘creatures’ (WTF are they meant to be anyway?!) who are instructed by the narrator to give a party blower a “very very VERY big blow”.

Purple Teletubby Tinky Winky then blows into the party item which extends so long and manages to reach green Teletubby Dipsy, who is bending down on another side of the hill.

The party blower begins to tickle Dispy’s bum — and well, Dispy quite enjoys it!

Fans are divided over the X-rated Teletubbies footage

In the video, you can hear a toddler giggling, showing that it is indeed a funny moment for a child. But for an adult’s mind, it’s a tad too sexual for little eyes. 

“omgsh,” one shocked viewer commented. 

“Wow,” another added.

And others shared: “Wouldn’t get away with it now” and “I didn’t allow my kids to watch this show. After 1 episode I banned it.”

Meanwhile, others claim they’re not surprised because… umm.. it’s Teletubbies!

“That was the most strangest children’s program I’ve ever seen,” one person laughed. 

And others really couldn’t see the problem, claiming we see things very differently from our innocent children watching these programs. 

“It’s only a problem when you watch it as an adult and realized that everything is sexualized,” one parent said. 

“Kids look at this innocently. It’s our adult minds that turn it into more lol,” another agreed.
