The Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine, Paris Fashion Week’s governing body, has released its provisional calendar for the Autumn/Winter 2023 season, which will run from Feb. 27 to March 7. According to the schedule, Schiaparelli will show ready-to-wear on the runway for the first time. Other calendar newcomers include Dundas, Palm Angels and Avellano. Alexander McQueen will return to Paris after showing its Fall/Winter 2022 collection in New York and Spring/Summer 2023 collection in London. Nina Ricci will also return to Paris with its first collection from new creative director in Harris Reed, who was appointed in September 2022. Balenciaga, which has been quiet since coming under fire for ads featuring children posing with BDSM-inspired teddy bears, will go ahead with a show.
The week will open with a show by the Institut Français de la Mode’s 2023 MA student presentation, and close with Xuly Bet’s presentation.
