It was a debut to remember for Arsenal wonderkid Charlie Patino as he came off the bench to put the gloss on the Gunners’ 5-1 win over Sunderland by netting the game’s final goal.

With the Gunners coasting to victory, Mikel Arteta was able to hand a first-team debut to highly-rated midfielder Patino for the final 10 minutes of the Carabao Cup tie.

As the game went into extra-time, the England Under-19 international converted a Nicolas Pepe assist to cap his first-team debut with a goal.

Patino has now spoken about the game – and responded to a fan asking about his ‘”PSG transfer”.

Elsewhere the Gunners have made a decision on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they “aim to avoid” another Mesut Ozil situation.

Arsenal make Aubameyang decision

The Gunners have made a decision regarding the future of former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

Aubameyang has found himself frozen out of the first-team squad following his disciplinary breach almost a fortnight ago.

He’s since missed Premier League clashes with Southampton, West Ham and Leeds United and is training alone away from his teammates.

With the January transfer window now right around the corner, boss Mikel Arteta is said to have made his stance clear on what will happen to the striker should a bid come in for him.

Charlie Patino has broken his silence following his Arsenal debut to thank teammate Nicolas Pepe for the assist to his goal.

Patino stabbed home late in the game against Sunderland to get Gunners fans even more excited about the Hale End academy graduate.

The England under-19 star has been hailed as a star of the future and has even drawn comparisons with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.

But Arsenal’s newest star appears to be keeping his feet firmly on the ground as he sent a sweet message to teammate Pepe following the game.

Wonderkid Patino has responded to a fan who messaged him about a transfer bid that was put in for him by Paris Saint Germain – on his latest Football Manager save.

The fan asked the real Patino for advice on how to get his in-game version back onside after he became unhappy when the bid from PSG was rejected.

And Patino’s response will have Arsenal fans buzzing that the real deal seems to see his long-term future in north London.
