The Los Angeles Clippers continued their courting of Russell Westbrook with Paul George’s most recent comments.
Speaking to the media Saturday, the eight-time All-Star revealed that the player he’d most like to see hold up that Larry O’Brien Trophy is the Brodie.
Answering the reporter’s question:
Russ. I think just as much as he’s been through… [the media] paints a picture of him… He is absolutely one of the best dudes, one of the best people in the league, and it’d definitely be nice to see him get that ring.
George and Westbrook were teammates in Oklahoma City for a time before PG decided to find a way to the Clippers to play with Kawhi Leonard.
Unfortunately, injuries have plagued the Clips since the two teamed up. Not allowing the basketball world to see LA’s full potential.
Westbrook is expected to be bought out by the Utah Jazz after being dealt in a three-team trade. If so, the Clippers and Heat are the two favorites to land the former MVP’s services.
