Former Celtics star Paul Pierce is once again getting picked apart on social media because of his basketball analysis.
During the latest edition of “Ticket and The Truth,” Kevin Garnett referred to Zion Williamson as a “generation athlete.” Pierce didn’t agree with that assessment.
“I mean I don’t really agree with he a generational talent,” Pierce replied. He would then list Charles Barkley and Shawn Kemp as players with similar skillsets to Williamson.
Garnett immediately shut down Pierce’s rebuttal, saying “You’re f—ing crazy.”
NBA fans also disagreed with Pierce’s stance on Williamson.

“Reducing Zion to just his dunking ability is such a terrible take,” one fan said. “Shawn Kemp had one season of 20 ppg scoring and never shot 60% from the field while Zion has been a 26 ppg guy on 60%+ shooting every time he’s healthy. He also didn’t have anywhere near the passing vision if Zion.”

In 114 career games, Williamson has averaged 25.8 points on 60.5 percent shooting from the field. It’s pretty clear he’s a generational talent.
Unfortunately though, Williamson’s career has been derailed by injuries.
