Jake Paul has made Tommy Fury a huge seven-figure contract offer in a last-ditch attempt to make their fight happen. According to The Problem Child, the offer is six times more than what Fury made in his last fight.
Fury and Paul have been set to face each other on two occasions to no avail. Ahead of their first date in December of last year, Fury pulled out with a broken rib before their August event was cancelled when TNT was denied entry to the United States – where the fight was set to take place.
With Fury still unable to travel across the pond, the ex-Love Island star made Paul an offer to stage their third attempt in the United Kingdom under the Queensbury Promotions banner. His father John claimed that after his son’s last bout against Rolly Lambert in Dubai he had come to a verbal agreement with Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian for a February date.
Paul obliged and declared that Fury’s team had seven days to negotiate a deal before he chooses to look elsewhere. That deadline passed one week ago. However, Paul is still open to negotiations and has made an offer on his own.
In response, Paul’s promotional outfit, Most Valuable Promotions declared that they had been in daily contact with Fury’s chief advisors, Frank Warren, Robert Davis, and George Warren. “Mr. Fury: Frank & George Warren are not your team anymore? Robert Davis is not your counsel? For clarity – MVP has been in daily contact with Queensberry to try and move the fight forward,” MVP tweeted.
Paul has disclosed that he intends to fight in February and has been very active in searching for opponents. Yesterday, the YouTube star sent offers to Paddy Pimblett and Nate Diaz alongside his fierce rival, Fury.
There are also negotiations with controversial entrepreneur Andrew Tate, of which little has been disclosed since both parties declared that they were thrashing out a deal earlier this month.
