Williamson, 22, has not played since early January in a loss to the Philadelphia Sixers because of a hamstring strain. He then reaggravated the injury around the All-Star break, further delaying a potential return to the court.
Williamson is averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists on 61 percent shooting from the field.
The Pelicans are 35-37 this season and third in the Southwest Division, sitting just outside the Play-In tournament race behind the Los Angeles Lakers.
With ten games left on the schedule, it’s still being determined if Williamson will return in time to help their playoff push.
