‘People are spewing’: Influencer’s HORROR Rotto ferry ride

Body-positive influencer Riley Hemson has visited Rottnest Island on her first-ever trip to WA.

Previously Healthychick101 on Instagram and TikTok, the social media sensation now goes by RileyJ.

She posted to TikTok on Sunday a nauseating video with her friend Jaz of the pair making their way to Rottnest Island while battling rough seas.

“We’re on the bumpiest ferry, people are spewing, people are spewing,” she said in the clip.

People can be heard screaming in the background as a wave rocks the ferry.

“Jaz is clinging onto me as if I’m going to save her life,” she continues as Jaz goes red-faced.

Despite the treacherous journey, Hemson made it to Rotto and quickly discovered why everybody is obsessed with quokkas.

“Coming at you live from Rottnest Island, let’s go find some quokkas,” she said before spotting one: “We’ve spotted a quokka.”

Becoming acquainted with the iconic West Australian tourist drawcard, she was shocked to think it might eat its excrement.

“Is it going to eat it? It’s going to eat its poop!” she said, covering her mouth.

On Saturday, Hemson revealed to her almost 500,000 Instagram followers that she was in Perth with a photo carousel.

“She’s in Perth, babyyyy,” she wrote.

“First time in WA & loving it.

“Heading to Margaret River/ Dunsborough soon, I would love any extra recommendations from my Perth hunnies xxx.”

Hemson started her Instagram account to showcase her dramatic weight loss journey from 114kg to 89kg and keep herself accountable, she told Daily Mail Australia in 2018.

“My weight loss journey stopped and started many times. I was overweight as a child, and I can’t remember ever not worrying about my weight,” she said.

“For me sharing my journey was about accountability, and I knew as soon as I started my account, I had to stick to what I set out to achieve.

“I never actually thought it would be something I would enjoy. What I’m doing is not a diet or a chore anymore, it’s just my life now, and I love it.”
