People on TikTok are going wild for this portable neck fan in the heatwave (and it’s on Amazon for £12.99)

A neck fan is probably not something you thought you’d be adding to your Amazon cart on this fine July afternoon. But bear with us. With the dawn of every fresh and sun-drenched new day (for the time being, anyway) comes a shiny new addition to the TikTokMadeMeBuyIt clan: a hashtag, in case you missed it, which collates a bunch of products that promise to change your life in a multitude of ways.

Today? The Amazon-obsessives of TikTok are raving about something altogether game-changing when it comes to working from home, walking, dancing, socialising… simply LIVING in the heat. It’s the turn of the humble neck fan.

Available on Amazon for just £12.99 (and in both white and pink FYI), the portable and wearable neck fan in question has a reviewer rating of 4.6 stars and promises to keep you cool when you’re cooking, reading, working, hiking or at festivals. The possibilities are endless and it’s so much handier than the handheld fan you’ve already got.

It operates a little like corded headphones do: you simply pop the device around your neck, and made from high-quality soft silica gel, it won’t feel uncomfortable for wear. 

It can be adjusted to suit the shape of your neck, has three different wind speeds and – with thanks to 62 (!) wind outlets around the neck – increases air volume by 90% around your entire head and face.

As for how to charge it? You simply use the USB cord included, and plug it into your computer, laptop, mains charging point or power bank. So. Good.
