An airline passenger in Florida tried a novel way to sneak a gun with them as they travelled: Stick it inside a raw chicken.
Transportation Security Administration suspected fowl play when they found the gun at the Fort Lauderdale Airport, according to FOX.

They tweeted about the bizarre discovery: “There’s a personal fowl here. Our officers @FLLFlyer made this very raw find. We hate to break it to you but stuffing a firearm in your holiday bird for travel is just a baste of time.”

At least they found humour in the situation.
There was no immediate word on charges.
Travellers are required to declare each firearm that is placed in checked baggage, according to the TSA.
Any firearms placed in checked baggage “must be unloaded and locked in a hard-sided container and transported as checked baggage only,” the TSA states, according to FOX.
