Perth bride has life-sized cut-out of brother stuck in QLD

Montana Beeken, 26, and Jon Ferreri, 33

Montana Beeken’s brother may have been stuck in Queensland when she married Jon Ferreri, but he was still there in spirit, and in cardboard.

The couple had a life-sized cardboard cut-out of the bride’s brother during the ceremony, which was held on the Merlot Lawn at Sandalford Wines.

Another sentimental touch included the groom’s ring being melted down from two sets of grandparents and hand-designed.

When and where

The couple exchanged vows on the Merlot Lawn before enjoying a reception with their 110 guests at Sandalford’s Estate Room on August 28. Two ponies kept the crowd entertained during canape hour.

Dress

Montana wore a striking gown she bought from Tuscany Bridal.

Honeymoon

The happy newlyweds honeymooned at Losari Retreat in Margaret River. They had planned on travelling to Jamala Wildlife Lodge but because of an ACT lockdown, this was not possible.
