Pete Davidson’s dating history is a thing of beauty, literally. Sure, his relationship with Kim Kardashian is currently the talk of Hollywood, but the actor and Saturday Night Live host has been romantically linked with beautiful women since… forever.
Perhaps most famously, Pete proposed to Ariana Grande in 2018. Their brief engagement was followed by Pete’s relationship with Kate Beckinsale, then with Maid star Margaret Qualley, after which he was briefly rumoured to be dating Kaia Gerber. He was also linked to Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor in early 2021, which saw them attend Wimbledon (and Sainsbury’s) together.
So what is the secret behind Pete Davidson’s roaring success with women? Apart from being a conventionally good-looking, wildly-successful actor and comedian, that is. Well, Pete himself has something to say about it.
During his recent set at the Patrice O’Neal Comedy Benefit Concert at New York City Center theatre, Pete reflected on his enduring attractiveness by err, comparing himself to a discounted DVD movie. So far, so Pete.
“There seems to be a curiosity about me, is what my friends tell me,” the Saturday Night Live comedian told the audience, as reported by US Weekly.
He added, “I was trying to figure out how to explain myself to someone because I was doing an interview,” before using an analogy of movies you might find in a bargain bin of a DVD store – some belong in the bin – like Predator 2, Shrek Forever After (according to Pete) – while others are classics that don’t belong in the bin, like Tropic Thunder.
As Pete puts it, “I’m Tropic Thunder. I’m the diamond in the trash. It’s a steal.”
After starting a relationship with Kim Kardashian (even spending Christmas together) the SNL host found himself in a less-than-ideal place: namely, a Kanye West song.
In a new song titled “Eazy” featuring rapper The Game, Ye rapped, “God saved me from that crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.” Eeek.
However many people sided with Pete, with one tweeting, “You know I just feel like if you are taking shots at Pete Davidson, Pete Davidson has already won.” We don’t make the rules.
Back in November 2021, E! News confirmed that Pete and Kim were dating, reporting that Kim is ‘completely enthralled’ with Pete and that the new couple is “really happy and seeing where it goes.”
