Pets in Gujarat have a Pool Party!

The idea of a pool party in this scorching heat sounds pretty relaxing, doesn’t it? Well, the pets in Anand, Gujarat were lucky to be a part of the first-ever canine socializing event organized amidst the pandemic. The socialization event was a pool party organized for all the adorable furry babies in Gujarat.

Around 23 pets from all across Gujarat took part in this splashing socialization event. Breeds like German shepherds, Golden retrievers, Labrador retrievers, beagles, and Rottweilers, participated in this pool party. We can assure you that they indeed had an incredible day!

While speaking to The Times of India, the founder of Rescue & Rehabilitation of Stray Animals, Dr Bhavesh Solanki stated that humans have a lot of fun at water parks and amusement parks, but such facilities are extremely rare for pets. Therefore, it dawned upon them to organize a summer pool party for pets!

The spread of awareness amongst pet parents and the exposure to other parents from the community has increased the number of such socialization events. In Ahmedabad, pool socialization parties for dogs have become a common event.

An artist residing at Gandhinagar brought four of her adopted and rescued Labrador retrievers to this event. Her canines named Saraswati, Sasha, Shyala, and Saavi had a lot of fun at this pool party.

The cost for organizing these pool parties starts from INR 20,000 for a group of 10 dogs. The cost includes the rent of the pool and other services for pets.

According to one of the city-based animal behaviourists, swimming is a fabulous exercise for pets. Such socialization parties are often an excuse for pet parents to let their pets learn a new skill and socialize. These parties can work wonders for your furry baby’s mental and physical health!
