The Denver Nuggets are one victory away from closing the NBA Finals. With a Game 5 win over the Miami Heat, the Nuggets can secure the city’s first championship since Peyton Manning guided the Broncos to a Super Bowl title in 2016.
Manning was in attendance for Monday’s game at Ball Arena. Ditching his usual quarter-zip for a hoodie and wearing an odd SportsCenter Top 10 gold chain, the legendary quarterback endorsed the fellow Denver team before tipoff.
“Alright, I’m here supporting the Nuggets,” Manning said. “It’s a big one tonight. Go Nuggets.”

Manning also narrated a hype video before the NBA Finals started. Knowing a thing or two about passing, he saw kindred spirits in a team led by Nikola Jokić.
“What brought them here is what’s going to take them to the top,” Manning said. “Willing passers, an unselfish style of play, and a relentless belief in each other.”
Often overlooked despite earning the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed, Denver has gone 15-4 this postseason. Jokić has etched a permanent spot among the city’s all-time great athletes by averaging 30.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game.
Game 5 is underway on ABC.
