Pharrell’s Joopiter Announces Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry Auction

Pharrell Williams’ JOOPITER is launching a new jewelry auction in collaboration with Lorraine Schwartz.

“I was lucky enough to meet Pharrell over 20 years ago, and we’ve built an incredible friendship through a mutual appreciation for the most exquisite and unique gems in the world,” Schwartz said of the upcoming auction, which launches later this month under the title A Journey Through Gems.

Highlights from auction, worldwide bidding for which launches via the JOOPITER site on March 17, include an eight-carat white gold diamond and Colombian emerald bib necklace and an Asscher-cut canary yellow diamond ring. The latter is among select pieces from the auction that were co-designed by Pharrell.

The latest auction news from JOOPITER follows official word earlier this month that Pharrell had been named the new Men’s Creative Director for Louis Vuitton. The move, which sees Pharrell taking on a role once held by the late Virgil Abloh, was first the subject of intense media speculation before ultimately being made official with a joint announcement.

“I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men’s Creative Director,” Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton’s CEO, said in a statement at the time. “His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”
