Vice President Kamala Harris, an Oakland native, lost a bet with her husband on the recent Lakers-Warriors series.

Harris is a diehard Golden State fan, the Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, is a Lakers supporter, even though he’s originally from Brooklyn. Emhoff moved to California as a teenager and attended college at Cal State Northridge and law school at USC.

Harris paid up on her friendly wager Monday evening. Her penalty consisted of taking a picture wearing her husband’s Kobe Lakers jersey under her blazer and tweeting about the loss.

@SecondGentleman, a deal is a deal. Congrats #LakeShow, but #DubNation always,” Harris tweeted along with the picture.

You win some, you lose some. Harris previously won a case of beer from Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio when the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals.

Unfortunately, she and President Joe Biden won’t be able to host the Dubs at the Oval Office again this year.
