Photos: Dublin High School hosts 11th Annual Irish Guard Invitational marching band competition

Dublin High School’s Irish Guard hosted the 11th Annual Irish Guard Invitational this past Saturday.

Located at Gaels Stadium, the Dublin High School football field, the Irish Guard hosted twelve other schools.

Schools featured were: Los Altos High School, Thomas Downey High School, Capuchino High School, Branham High School, Modesto City Marching Brigade, Mountain View High School, American Canyon High School, California High School, James Logan High School, Milpitas High School, Foothill High School, and Castro Valley High School.

The national anthem started the event at 4:45 p.m. and it ended with an awards ceremony at 9:30 p.m. The Irish Guard preformed last and were only judged for exhibition purposes, since they hosted the competition.

The first places winners were:

Los Altos High School placed first in class 1A.

Capuchino High School placed first in class 2A.

Branham High School placed first in class 3A.

James Logan High School placed first in class 5A.
