In the latest in a series of alarming social media posts, the Queen of Pop shared a short clip to her Instagram in which she flashed her breasts while cavorting around in skimpy lingerie, gold-coloured stilettos, fishnet stockings, opera gloves and a fur coat. Captioned, “In the mood for love,” the Vogue singer set the action to Miles Davis’ Ascenseur Pour L’échafaud.

Critics were quick to take the music legend to task, accusing her of tarnishing her legacy.

“What an empty caricature you have become of yourself. There was once a time you would do things for attention supported by a creative piece of work — this would provoke thought and discussion,” one person lamented. “Sadly now there is no creative work or intelligent output to support the tragic attention seeking, just a sad desperate need to attempt to be ‘provocative’ and to be seen. You have become everything that was anathema to you back in the day — predictable, lacking substance and boring.”

“Just because it’s Madonna don’t mean it’s good. Once you believe your own hype it’s time to stop,” another sniped with a third adding: “Get a f—ing life woman!”

“Please stop! We want Madonna not that…what have you done…you killed her for this…? This is not re-invention , it’s a suicide,” a fourth person wrote.

“Just embarrassing,” a former fan continued. “It’s horrible to see the ex-Queen of Pop go like this. It doesn’t look good anymore. The eyes no longer shine. Go back a bit, find yourself in a better light and take off that bloodstained cloak. Be a role model again and don’t become a laughing stock.”

Madonna was also chastised for making fur part of her strange fashion statement.

“Do whatever you want but please leave the animals alone. Wear your own skin,” one critic jabbed, with a second echoing: “It’s really awful and horrible what happens to animals all for vanity.”

“Such a disappointment from my childhood idol,” another commented. “Fur is the epitome of cruelty and oppression disguised as sophistication.”

“I‘m not sure what the hell has happened to my icon,” dismissed one more. “I have no idea who this person is.”

One longtime supporter said that Madonna’s posts aren’t having the titillating effect she hopes with younger listeners.

“My children who are in their late teens and 20’s think she’s a joke. They have no idea who she used to be. I’m struggling to remember too!”

The clip is the latest in a recent chain of odd posts the 64-year-old has shared to her social media accounts.

Last week, the Grammy winner was seen clasping a $3,000 Balenciaga purse while posing topless in thigh-high stockings and a pair of lacy undies.

“Someone needs to take grandma’s phone away,” one follower wrote, with another adding, “You just need too sit the f— down … You may have paved the way for some of today’s young Female Artists, but you have had your day!!! Take a back seat & have some dignity!”

Others begged the singer to “stop embarrassing your fans.”

Prior to that, fans roasted the Hung Up songstress when she twerked in lingerie to Luclover’s LSD in a video posted to TikTok.

“Starting to scare me now,” one person wrote in the comments. “Like why?”

“Trying to stay relevant ????so sad, you used to be iconic, I admired you for many years,” read another depressing account. “Now just so sad what you have become.”
