Grizzlies star Ja Morant posted a few cryptic messages on Instagram this Wednesday, which then led to a ton of speculation about his well-being.

Morant shared photos of his mother, father and daughter before writing “bye” on his Instagram story.

According to TMZ Sports, the police did a welfare check on Morant after hearing of these cryptic social media posts.

A spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that Morant is “fine.”

Morant is simply “taking a break from social media.” That’s why he posted these messages on Wednesday.

Morant recently flashed a gun on Instagram Live for the second time this year. He was immediately suspended by the Grizzlies for his actions.

Earlier this month, Morant issued a public apology for his behavior off the court.

“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me,” Morant’s apology said. “This is a journey, and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Hopefully, Morant gets on the right track as soon as possible.
