Police officers save 6 family members, including a toddler from fire

Police in Indiana, the United States of America have saved a family of six and a toddler from a building that was on fire.

According to People, the police received a call around 2:00 early Monday morning, 3 April about a building on fire.

TODDLER WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING

Upon arrival, the police found a toddler inside the home, which was filled with heavy smoke.The toddler was having trouble breathing.

The smoke closed the entrenace into the building.

Sergeant Andrew Snyder, who was on the scene, immediately used a nearby ladder to get the baby from inside of the home to safety.

TODDLER SAVED BY OFFICER THROUGH A WINDOW

Snyder asked the toddler’s family to her to him through a window with a carseat so he could take her to safety.

Everyone in the home was rescued after going through a window and down a ladder.

“I am very proud of these officers for their quick, heroic actions. They will be honored by the police department at a later date,” said Chief Scott Shoemaker as quoted by the report.

FAMILY SHOWS GRATITUDE

A family member also praised the police for their sense of urgency and bravery, Foxnews reported.

“Thank you, God, that everyone was saved. Thank you, Frankfort Police station, for being there,” said the family member as quoted by the report.
