The V Adapted Sports Games of Castilla y León closed the curtain with notable success in Ponferrada. More than 150 athletes participated in the meeting of the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl), with Asprona Bierzo as the host and club featured in the results of the competition.

The Bercian entity was the dominator of sports such as inclusive basketball, as well as a good performance in petanque or bowling. However, in paddle tennis -the other sport that completed the Games- it was, the domain was from Salamanca and Palencia, as usual in recent years.

With twelve clubs in Ponferrada (Adas and AVIVA, from Salamanca; Apadefim Segovia, San Cebrián from Palencia, CD Puentesaúco, CD Sonrisas and Las Calzadas, from Burgos; and CD Duero and Asprona, from Valladolid; Virgen de la Vega, from Benavente; and Asprona Bierzo and Asprona León), the Games took place over three days of sports with capital letters and moments to remember, such as moments of emotion in the run-up to the basket games; or the intense points with the racket and the glass in the Padel Indoor 2.0 facilities.

It was in inclusive basketball, where the local team, CB Ciudad de Ponferrada-Asprona Bierzo, was proclaimed champion after winning the four games played in the Lydia Valentín Pavilion. The hosts paid tribute to the local muse, and were the best of the five participating teams, with athletes from standardized clubs such as San Pablo-Puentesaúco, from Burgos; or CB Tormes-Aviva, from Salamanca.

In the paddle tennis competition, the regional champion couple, and one of the best at the national level, Álex González and Fran Mangas, did not give options to the rest of their rivals and took the A table of the competition level ahead of the CD couples Duero Valladolid. In addition, they did it without losing a single set in the entire championship.

In group B of a competition that had the support of the Ponferrada City Council, the Junta de Castilla y León, Full Inclusion Castilla y León, Special Olympics and Leomotor, the winners were the couple from CD San ​​Cebrián formed by Yoel López and Fernando Lagunilla.

In bowling, played at the Flash Bowling facilities, the players from Asprona León stood out in Level I, both in their male and female modalities. Thus the victory went to Rocío Candelas and Ignacio López.
It was a competition with a high sporting level in which Rocío Arranz (CD Sonrisas) or David Vilorio (Asprona Bierzo) also stood out in the rest of the teams from Burgos.

In petanque, the Bercian couple José Luis Lobato and José Silva were the most outstanding and they were prophets in their land in a competition that will return to the calendar in two years.
