Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, and other A-list actors star in PS 1, making it undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated movies in Kollywood. Despite being an event picture, this movie failed to inspire moviegoers nationwide, unlike biggies like KGF and RRR. The commerce is mostly driven by the original Tamil version even though it is being released in five Indian languages. However, a sizable sum has already been gathered. The movie has nearly sold 6 lakh tickets at the box office thanks to advance sales.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 has already earned ₹11.30 crores in gross pre-sales on day 1, with the Tamil version contributing the most so yet. About The Film 

The movie chronicles Arulmozhivarman’s early life before he evolved into the famed Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I. (947 CE – 1014 CE). Originally planned to be a standalone movie, Ponniyin Selvan was eventually divided into two parts. The first part will be shown in theatres on September 30, 2022, in regular and IMAX formats.
