The new update will incorporate a revised interface design that comes at the request of Porsche’s customers — coloured icons will make the interface more intuitive for drivers and will be easier to recognize. However, for those who prefer less distractions from the screen, Porsche has improved its Voice Pilot function, making the owner’s manual, news updates, and other functions easier to access.
The new update also integrates Spotify on all four models, meaning owners will have direct access to the app when linking an account to the vehicle using a Porsche ID, and selecting the app as the media source (as opposed to radio, Sirius, Bluetooth, USB, and all the other media sources you may have connected). It can be used in the same way as other devices; you can still “Like” a song, as well as save songs played on the drive.

Taycan owners can also expect an updated route planner that is aimed to provide efficient charging during road trips. The system prioritizes charging stations with higher energy output and plans stops at those locations. Listening to customer feedback, Porsche also incorporated charging times into the start-to-end drive time.
All newly configured Porsche 911s, Taycans, Cayennes, and Panameras will now have standard PCM 6.0.
