Actor Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam which was released on March 11 had hit the 100 crore mark; however, since then, the film didn’t create buzz at the box office. With The Kashmir Files storm and Gangubai Kathiawadi, the film failed to attract the audience to the theatres. As Radhe Shyam didn’t fare well at the box office, Prabhas finally reacted to Radhe Shyam failure in a recent interview, offering many theories on the same.
When asked what didn’t click with the audience and not bringing in the crores as expected, the Baahubali star said, “Maybe covid or maybe we missed something in the script. You people know better. Maybe people don’t want to watch me in that zone, even if they want to watch – maybe they expect me to be too good.”
Prabhas was also about the pressure on him after the mega-success of the Baahubali series. He said, “Yes, the pressure is there for my directors and producers to get a good response like Baahubali. I don’t have that pressure to cross Baahubali or make the biggest film. I am very lucky to have Baahubali but I want to have the pleasure to entertain as many audiences as possible in the country. Without me or Baahubali, I just want them to be entertained.”
Prabhas also said that ‘it’s a good sign’ when asked about Pushpa, RRR success in Bollywood.
On the professional front, Prabhas will be next seen in Salaar which is helmed by Prashanth Neel. He also Om Raut’s Adipurush which stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh. He also has Nag Ashwin’s Project K opposite Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
