
Prayers are pouring in for the family of longtime NBA reporter Tom Haberstroh on Wednesday.
The former ESPN NBA reporter shared that his mother, Patty, has passed away.
Patty Haberstroh battled ALS for six-plus years. She was the inspiration behind the famous “ALS Pepper Challenge.”
“If you’re reading this, you may have participated in the #ALSPepperChallenge in honor of my mother Patty,” he wrote.
“The Haberstrohs are saddened to share the news that after a six-year battle with ALS, she passed away on Monday. Miss you so much, Mom.”

Prayers are pouring in for his family on Wednesday.
“And what an incredible fight she put up. I’m terribly sorry for your loss Tom. Sending love,” one fan wrote.
“I’m so sorry for your loss,” one fan added.
“My prayers to you and your family Tom no more pain no more suffering,” one fan added.
“Truly Sorry for your loss man,” one fan added.
