This week, Dark Horse Comics will release Shaolin Cowboy: Cruel to be Kin #6. The penultimate issue of the series comes from writer & artist Geof Darrow, colorist Dave Stewart, and letterer Nate Piekos. Ahead of its release, the publisher has released a five-page preview of the issue.

The SCU has never had a supply chain problem with action, and this penultimate issue is no different as it delivers a two-fisted riposte to the evil of Big Daddy Snell and his ever-evolving manifestation of hate and intolerance. This one will slap your eyeballs silly!!!
In an interview with The Beat back when the series first debuted, Darrow described his approach to his hyper-detailed artwork:
Each panel is kind of its own world. That might be a bit pretentious to say, but it explains it all a bit somehow. I’ll have dogs doing things in the background, people arguing over some small thing, or prehistoric animals chasing birds all to create a sense of place. Artists don’t usually have time to do that stuff. I take way too much time on that kind of stuff. Some of it might be throwaway detail, but I think it adds something to the experience.
