Next month Dark Horse Comics will release The Ones #3, the penultimate issue of the Jinxworld series from writer Brian Michael Bendis, artist Jacob Edgar, colorist K.J. Diaz, and letterer Joshua Reed. The series follows a gathering of ‘chosen ones’ as they must contend with having failed to prevent the end of the world. Now ahead of its release The Beat is pleased to present a preview of the issue.
Here’s how Dark Horse describes the issue:
Now that it’s dawned on the Ones that they are not “the One” resentment starts to overtake our merry band of chosen ones and most of them decide to go where the money is. This is not what the prophecy foretold. Very frustrating. Find out what happens next when the chosen ones basically tell us to all go EFF ourselves.
The Ones is the latest new series from the Brian Michael Bendis-curated Jinxworld imprint at Dark Horse. Other Jinxworld releases from the publisher include Joy Operations with artist Stephen Byrne and Pearl with Michael Gaydos. The publisher is also releasing new editions of previous Bendis work, having just announced a new release for Fortune & Glory earlier this week.
