Princess Anne & Sophie Wessex ‘out in force’ at Windsor Castle – ‘beautiful photos’

Prince Charles was the official host of the royal event, attended by his sister Princess Anne, and sister-in-law Sophie Countess of Wessex. Other royals in attendance included Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

The royals were hosting a reception for the awards ceremony at Windsor Castle as the Queen is currently resting on doctor’s orders.

It comes days after the Queen returned to Windsor Castle by helicopter following a short break at Sandringham as she continues her rest ahead amid her determination to be fit for Remembrance Sunday this weekend.

Princess Anne was wearing a bright blue blazer and skirt suit combination.

The suit had large polka dots decorated throughout the fabric, and the Princess Royal was wearing a cream and gold silk scarf around her neck for the cool November weather.

She accessorised all in black, with black kitten heels, black gloves, and a silk black clutch bag.

The Princess wore striking red lipstick to match her dashing red poppy, just in time for Remembrance Day tomorrow.

Anne wore her hair in her signature bouffant style and was wearing beautiful little pearl earrings.

Princess Anne could be seen gesturing around the room as she chatted with attendees in her vibrant turquoise suit for the occasion.

DON’T MISS:

Sophie Wessex, who also attended the royal event, stunned in a gorgeous floor-length black gown.

The dress had a boat neck style, and the top section of the dress acted like a shawl over the Countess’s shoulders.

The form-fitting dress looked effortlessly regal on Sophie, who wore black stiletto heels to match.

The Countess also broke with tradition and styled her Remembrance Day poppy on her clutch bag, instead of attaching it to her dress.

Royal fan, Julie Reine, commented saying: “Stunning.”

The Prince of Wales, 72, looked smart in a navy pinstripe suit as he joined the award recipients at the event and could be seen chatting with Secretary of State for Business Kwasi Kwarteng.

Buckingham Palace previously said it is the Queen’s ‘firm intention’ to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday wreath-laying service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall this Sunday to honour Britain’s war dead, which is one of the most sacred events in her annual calendar.

It would be her first in-person event since a reception at Windsor Castle on October 19.
