Princess Kate and Beatrice wore identical gowns to foreign royals in Jordan

Princess Kate and Beatrice wore identical gowns to foreign royals in Jordan

Kate, Princess of Wales was joined by Princess Beatrice and a handful of other family members at the royal wedding in Amann, Jordan yesterday.

In true royal fashion, the pair debuted two outfits each for the occasion, with Kate opting for a pale pink Ellie Saab maxi dress for the day ceremony and a striking pink sequin gown in the evening.

Beatrice donned a baby blue sequin dress for the daytime event and changed into a satin-silk number for the evening State Banquet.

While the British royals were sure to wear very different gowns while attending the wedding of the Crown Prince of Jordan, they sported almost identical looks to other foreign royals who had gathered from across the world.

Along with several other female guests, Kate and Beatrice followed suit in wearing sheer or sequin gowns for the poignant event. The Princess of York even stepped out in the exact same dress as Princess Aisha of Jordan.

Beatrice, 34, made her debut at the wedding ceremony wearing an embellished pale blue gown by Needle & Thread London. The Celia style was a new garment in the Princess of York’s wardrobe and costs £675 at Harrods.

The dress featured a sheer overlay with a silk under-dress in the pale blue shade and the entire dress was adorned in silver sequins.

For the evening banquet, the mother-of-one slipped into another embellished number, this time by Reem Acra.

Known as the “Ruffled Satin-Piqué Gown”, Beatrice wore her second new dress of the day after the 55-year-old Princess Aisha of Jordan.

The Jordanian royal donned the silk-satin dress earlier on Thursday, June, 1 while attending the Crown Prince Al-Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif’s nuptials.

Made from a silk-satin material and finished with applique detailing around the neckline and torso, the flattering dress looked stunning on both women – despite their fashion faux pas.

Both Beatrice and Aisha donned the design in the same pale gold tone, though the Princess of York teamed it with her mother, Sarah Ferguon’s beloved tiara.

THe Reem Acra dress wasn’t the only “on-trend” number worn by the British royal that day either. In fact, her daytime ensemble set the tone for many evening gowns styled by foreign royals for Queen Rania and King Abdullah’s State Banquet.

Princess Beatrice’s blue sheer overlay dress inspired Princess Elisabeth of Belgium’s cobalt blue evening ensemble.

While it wasn’t an identical style, Elisabeth’s Armani Prive Couture Collection gown featured the same stand-out features as the Princess of York’s Needle & Thread number.

This included the sheer, long-sleeve overlay, embellished detailing, floor-length hemline and soft, rounded neckline.

Both the gowns were new season collections – with Elisabeth’s fresh from the runway in the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, perhaps setting the tone for future royal gowns yet to be debuted.

Princess Kate also opted for sequins in the evening, wearing a form-fitting Jenny Packham gown which was first styled by Queen Mary of Denmark in 2022.

The “Georgia” style was made from a pink silk base and finished with dazzling sequins to match. Paired with the former Princess of Wales’s beloved “Lover’s Knot” tiara, the 41-year-old was a picture of elegance at the evening reception.

Variations of the eye-catching style were worn by foreign royals too, with Princess Iman of Jordan spotted in a sequined dress made in an almost identical shade of pink.

Iman’s dress was by Giambattista Valli, also a new season piece from the Spring/Summer 2023 Couture Collection. The Jordanina royal opted for the Wedding Tiara for the State Banquet, while the Princess of Wales finished her look with sentimental Cartier earrings, once owned by Queen Elizabeth II.
