Kate Middleton stepped out to visit the Natural History Museum in October 2019 dressed in high street brands. This was back when she was the Duchess of Cambridge and she would frequently wear clothes from Topshop and Warehouse among others.

Kate wore the colours khaki green and deep berry purple during this engagement, as was appropriate for the October weather.

The Princess of Wales chose a top from Warehouse and culottes from Jigsaw, two British high-street labels.

The “Warehouse Wave Pointelle jumper” had long sleeves, a scalloped high neckline, a Pointelle texture at the yoke, and scalloped cuffs.

The retail price was a very reasonable £39 and the Princess chose the Berry colour to wear.

Unfortunately, this jumper has since sold out and the Princess is yet to wear it again.

Kate’s khaki green trousers that she wore to the Natural History Museum had a wide leg and a loose fit.

They also featured front slanted pockets, an elasticised waist, and ruching that extended from the waistband to the hem.

The culottes Kate wore cost a whopping £130, but are a bargain compared to the £1,490 Alexander McQueen suit she wore recently as the Princess of Wales.

Kate has also not worn these “Jigsaw relaxed gathered waist culottes in green” since her royal engagement in 2019.

Despite Kate’s clothes all being from high-street brands during this engagement, her footwear and accessories from this trip were more high-end and luxurious.

The brand Tod’s was the designer behind Kate’s shoes. The high block heel, fringe accents, and gold buckle on the Italian-made heels are all standout features.

Kate wore the “Eggplant/Cherry” colour from Tod’s 2015 collection. She first wore these shoes on a royal tour to Canada in 2016.

They are described as: “Ideal for both the office and off-duty days, Tod’s’ versatile burgundy pumps have a sturdy block heel and cushioned footbed for round-the-clock comfort.

“This Italian-made pair is finished with an elegant gold buckle and the brand’s signature pebbled sole. Team yours with culottes or a skirt.”

The quilted bag Kate carried during the 2019 engagement was from Chanel’s autumn/winter 2016–2017 line.

It bore the company’s recognisable emblem on the front and a pattern handle made of brass and enamel.

During a trip to Paris in 2017, Kate showcased the burgundy bag for the first time.

On a recent trip to Boston, Massachusetts in 2022, the Princess was seen carrying the burgundy Chanel bag, showing that it is still being put to use.

Kate also wore Asprey London earrings during her 2019 engagement. The 18ct gold hoops have an intertwined oak leaf design.

They have pavé diamonds and are from the company’s “Woodland” collection. These earrings cost a whopping £5,000, which Kate first debuted in 2018.
