Sapna
Gill
fresh
allegations

The
social
media
influencer
has
now
alleged
that
she
interrupted
only
after
her
friend
was
being
assaulted
by
Shaw
and
his
friend.
Gill
has
further
added
that
she
was
beaten
by
a
baseball
bat,
slapped
and
her
private
parts
were
touched.

“We
didn’t
beat
anyone,
nor
did
we
ask
for
money.
They
put
the
wrong
allegations
about
us.
I
didn’t
ask
for
any
selfies,”
she
told
news
agency
ANI.

Sapna
said
she
was
trying
to
save
her
friend
after
he
saw
him
being
beaten
up
by
the
cricketer
and
his
friends.
“I
went
there
and
stopped
them.
My
friend
tried
to
make
a
video
to
show
the
proof.
They
beat
me
with
a
baseball
after
I
tried
to
save
my
friend.
One
or
two
people
hit
me
and
touched
my
private
parts,
and
even
slapped
me,”
she
added.

According
to
Gill,
her
friend
Shobhit
Thakur
had
gone
to
a
club
on
February
15
when
they
had
seen
Shaw
in
an
allegedly
inebriated
condition.
She
has
added
that
Shobhit
is
a
cricket
fan
and
hence
approached
the
23-year-old
for
a
selfie
which
led
to
the
ugly
brawl.

“Thakur,
who
is
just
a
teenager,
was
unaware
of
the
brutality
of
the
drunken
mob.
Thakur
was
helpless
and
was
unable
to
defend
himself.
Hence,
she
(Gill)
intervened
and
entered
the
fray
trying
to
stop
Shaw
and
others
from
further
harming
and
injuring
Thakur,”
as
per
the
application,
said
the
PTI
report.

Furthermore,
the
application
mentioned
that
Gill
begged
and
pleaded
with
Shaw,
who
was
“inebriated”
at
the
time
of
the
incident.

Gill’s
application
alleged
Shaw
outraged
her
modesty,
an
offence
punishable
under
354
(molestation)
and
other
provisions
of
the
Indian
Penal
Code.
